Concert Activities

Martynas began his stage activity in 1978 at the age of 11 with the Bach Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No.1 in A minor BWV 1041, accompanied by the Vilnius Symphony Orchestra in the Vilnius Philharmonic Hall. Since 1990 Martynas performs in Europe, Asia and the USA with various orchestras as an interpreter of music for violin solo from baroque to contemporary and own compositions.
Many concerts were broadcasted by radio and television broadcasters such as the German NDR, SRW, Lithuanian LRT, Russian Ostankino and more. Through his diverse projects, he has been invited to various music festivals.

In 1993 he premiered the Alfred Schnittke Violin Concerto No. 1 with the University Orchestra of the University of Music and Theater under the direction of Klaus-Peter Seibel, a concert that was well received by the press and broadcast on NDR. From 1983 to 1992 he won many national and international prizes, such as the 3rd prize at the 4th International Johannes Brahms Competition for violin solo in Hamburg.
